Came across a pretty good write up on OpenMoko project and Neo1973 opensource Cell phone over at wired. It sounds like the Hardware is pretty good (well aside from the promised bits that are still coming), the software though seems to have some problems. The author seems to think the partially open source Qtopia software is much nicer. We’d covered this device before and think that once it matures a bit more it could give others a run for their money.
